Well,
when I first see “Ed Lee” I will suddenly remember the advertisement s
about him and another candidate who also wants to run for the mayor of
San Francisco.
Since
I did not live in San Francisco, I did not really know anything about
Ed Lee. I barely know that he did something that supports the education
in San Francisco (from the advertisement on the TV). The sad thing is
that the attacks on Lee are spot on. He is effectively a Republican in
many ways. His connections to Rose Pak and Willie Brown are reasons to
vote for anyone but him. And he has really done very little as mayor. He
is trying to coast into office, and he has the audacity to act offended
that he has opposition. The man is the worst sort of political sleaze.
If he thinks he "changed" his mind, then you are truly gullible. He was
picked to be mayor for the long run.
I
think it is important for San Francisco avoid having Lee as mayor. Know
that the way that “instant runoff” is likely to work this time, having
Lee's name anywhere on the ballot will likely count as a vote for him.
It is also important to completely leave his name off our ballots. Not
first choice, not second choice, not third choice, but completely off
the ballot. Being a Chinese, I understand why the people in SF wanted Ed
Lee to run as mayor; but I will choose a leader that do something bad.
In my own opinion I will choose anyone but Lee.
