[BC] UC Prompt #2

Hey everyone, this is the second UC Prompt, welcome to common on it or makes some change!!!

Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you are?
As a little girl, I like to see the birdie popping in the sky. I remember how my mother taught me playing badminton. We played badminton whenever we have time; hence, the activity of playing badminton influences me to become one of the member s in badminton team. The fact is that badminton is really a normal activity for me because I played it any time I want and anywhere I can and badminton in China just like tennis in the United States, everyone can play it no matter you are a professional  or just a new player. Badminton has done the work to push myself to work as hard as I can.
When I came to the United States, I stated to join the badminton team in Alameda High School. In the Badminton Team, most of us are Asians. Maybe badminton really is an Asian sport, in our team; I do not see people that other than Asians accept our Coach Ruiz. When I join the badminton team in my first year of high school, I chose to be a single player instead of double player. Unfortunately, I was not that good in playing badminton because I have not been training when I started to play in my second grade. As a result, I ask one of my friends to teach my friends and me how to play badminton more professionally.  During the practice in the badminton season of my first year, because I have not got in the varsity and I am a JV 1 in the single, I only need to go to practice on Monday but I choose to go every day.
Second year in badminton team, I choose to not to be a women single player anymore and I paired up with Angela for try out and got separated when we really got into the second place of women double. As a result, I paired up with Kayla, a junior in that time. With a partner that does not speaks the same language as me that is really difficult to communicate while we are playing game, so that we could not say anything that is secret. Because we are two different types of people, I choose to be the one who defend and Kayla’s job is to keep track of the front. We have not played together before, so we need have to take more time to practice the role turn. The role turn is known as the hardest thing for both of us, but my mind just keep saying “Do not give up, Stephy, you can do it! Just do not give up, wait for the last minutes then you will success!” By putting in many hard working, the result turn in much better for my freshman year in team. One of the away games that our school play against Berkeley High School, a school with really good badminton players, even our really good players still lose to the Berkeley School, but my partner and I do our best to play the game, and my extra training have pay off into this game.
Third year in Badminton Team, a really meaningful year, Angela and me both got the first place in badminton women double in Alameda Contra Costa County Athletic League. My extra work out and spend extra time with my private coach to improve my skill, those have pay off in ACCAL. I am really grad that has done a good work.
Though great effort, I have done a really good job and by joining the badminton team in the pass three years not only means the experience I have earn had become an accomplishment in my high school year. I learned to become more independent and working as hard as I can.
