Basic on Angela's post, is it a good idea that helping each other with the work?? The answer maybe is yes or no, that just depend on the position you are looking at. Personally, helping each other is a way to improve friendship, yet if over help, it might turn into a bad decision to do.
Here is Angela's statement that I want to response:
One day, one of my friends had trouble on the project. I am pretty..... However, I forget that she won’t know another way because she doesn’t understand the lesson.
Okay, Angela basically is talking about how the thing happen, and I feel so bad for her. When your close friends ask to help, of cause you go help them. But if they still do not know how or you do not have the time to help or they still do not understand after you taught them, you might just take out the work that you have done and show it to them. I would do the same thing as Angela did, but this may affect your grade, teacher may say that you guys are cheating. In the other hand, can you really say no to your friends and tell them that you do not want to help because you do not want the teacher found out that both of you guy are copying???
NAhhhh... that is a really complicated question....
I feel like this is the shittiest response post I ever write:((((((((
I think part of the problem is that we think of "cheating" in schools as when friends help each other...but outside of school, friends help each other all the time. That's what friends are for!?
ReplyDeleteI've seen students write about this topic before, too...Check it out:

Cheating is when you actually "copy" stuff from another person without using your own brain and try to sort things out though?
ReplyDeleteThe case about Angela above all happened because her friend sent the java code that Angela wrote without editing anything
Also her friend didn't understand lectures from Joo, the problem already existed, she has trouble understanding all these java coding and terms. Angela can't help her 24/7, especially when there are tests :\
